“But it’s so lively with everyone yelling and being loud~” he chimed, and chuckled. It could be headache inducing at times, but it was better than silence and boredom. “Oh~? What kind of prices do you ask for?”

“I agree, I agree, this is a rather dull place~ Even the loud people stopped screaming~” he seemed rather dissapointed about it now. Even though during the weekend he was gung-ho about shutting them all up. The loud people were entertaining. They gave him something to watch and listen to without creeping in on others quiet conversations. The man continued hanging upside down, flailing his arms a bit out of boredom. “This’ll teach you not to complain as much, neh~?”
“Hmm.. I’m sort of glad that they did.. it was making my head hurt!”
“Back at home.. I work at a place called Otogi Bank— we help people, but in return, they have to help us! The price they pay for our help would put loan sharks to shame! We deal with criminals, people’s love life problems.. and more!”
“You seem rather bored, Ringo-tan~” He had seemingly come out of nowhere, hanging upside down from a dead tree, right next to her. From listening to everyone here, and he did listen to any conversation he came across, he had picked up Japanese honorifics and how to use them. Of course, in this case, he used a made up one for no apparent reason. Strange man.
“Oh! Break-san!”
The girl did not flinch or move when he had suddenly appeared— she simply turned her head to look at him, with her innocent smile.
“I guess so.. There’s nothing to do here!”
“Haaa… and I complain about having too much work back at home.”
Ringo had wandered outside her trailer, still curious at what kind of place she had been taken to. There was nothing exciting about this place— except for the carnival and the rides.. But she had lost interest in those long ago. … Pretty much everything seemed boring now— she much preferred doing jobs back at home, part of Otogi Bank. So she sat down on a rather large rock, sighing as she put her head in her hands, staring down at her feet.
Hm, whatever. You probably were mean or something along those lines. That’s judging from the impression you have gave at least.
“Maaaybe!~”
“Maybe one day..”
But Ringo wasn’t planning on letting anyone see that side of her, nope! And yes that smile was totally evil just now.

I failed to notice you during that time, and I’m afraid I don’t know you well enough to judge how you would’ve acted. So, what were you like?
“Hmmmmmm.. I’m not telling!”
After all, she didn’t have this mask on for so many years for no reason.
Oh, yes yes, I will too~”

Letting go, the girl adjusted the little cape that resembled the Little Red Riding Hood on her shoulders.
“Xerxes Break.. a very unique name!”
I was the complete opposite so I would imagine.
[He turned his head, and crossed his arms.] I’m sorry I’m not cute anymore, but I’m glad I’m back to normal.
“Lots of smiles from you. Oh my.. I can’t imagine what I would have said if people had talked to me during those few minutes of change.”
Relieved sigh.
I wish the ringmaster took our memory of the change. That way we don’t have to even remember how much we embarrassed ourselves.
This is really such an annoyance.
“Wow, you really were different.”
She giggled, peeking at him through one open eye.
“You were kind’a cute!”
“Well, as it stands, the people that aren’t going to overreact will probably laugh at those who do~ Thus making him freak out more~” …how did you get him to act sane?
